QA Engineer - Job Description

Innovation

Working directly with the the development team, the role will require the development of automated quality assurance checks across the company's full Enterprise Project Management Software. Respponsiblilities will also include the creation of code, deployment scripts as well as management of test cases and stories. Candidates will also be required to have a passion for maintaining well documented procedures and must strive for high quality deliverables.

Practical

This role will encompass both creation and management of over 3,000 test cases that govern the entire tool. This involves improving the speed to each new release, the reliability of every release and providing cost reducing through minimal manual validation. All candidates must be able to prioritize their work based on new features and functionality being released and comply with all technical documentation, as improvements are constantly implemented.

Technical

Key challenges will include implementing and improving automated quality assurance, this includes browser checks, deign checks, unit-tests, functionality tests, security, performance and speed checks. The current software is being implemented across multiple devices and is being used with a lot of varying client data, requiring the successful candidate the need to identify problems in the current software and work with the development team and Corporate Directors to build improvements.

Accountable

With the demands of this critical role, candidates must already have a deep understanding of python, javascript, selenium, automation test cases management systems and encompasses an already strong leadership capability. Benefitial attributes for candidates will include a proven history of driving QA automation and improvements, knowledge of ERP systems, script creations and management, working with off-shore teams as well as being accountable to tasks they are provided.
